On the road again, figuratively speaking …

You thought we’d done our overseas trip for this year didn’t you?

And that was our plan when we told Hannah last year that we would visit her in Canada in the first half of 2014. However, early this year, Len’s sister Helen and husband John asked us to join them and their family in Koh Samui in July to celebrate their 40th Wedding Anniversary. Now, she knew, and you probably know, that Koh Samui would not be high on our list of places to visit. We are not beach resort holiday people. But, she also knew that we are family people – and the opportunity to celebrate such a milestone with three generations is not something we’d lightly pass up. And, anyhow, it would be this year’s little escape from Canberra’s cold, wouldn’t it?

Consequently, in a couple of days we’ll be off – and we know we’ll have a good time. A fun family, warm weather, Asian food and new sights guarantee it.

So, here’s the gen, practically speaking:

  • If you would like to receive email notification of new posts on this blog, you can subscribe using the Email Subscription box in the blog sidebar.
  • You can check our very basic itinerary (which is also on the Menu Bar). If you have have any advice or “must do” suggestions, we’d love you to leave us a message via our Contact Page. (It too is on the Menu Bar). You’ll have to be quick though, because we’ll be back before you can say “Koh Samui” three times.
  • We’d love you to comment, whenever you feel like it. We’re only away for a short time, but we’ll still miss you. Just use the Comment box at the bottom of each post. Our comment moderation means your first comment won’t appear immediately, but once we’ve approved it your future comments should display as soon as you submit them.
