The Wherries are off again – but this time to North America on a trip that is more people than place focused, though we will explore places as well.
For those who haven’t caught up with our plans yet, we will be away for a little over three weeks, spending 2 weeks in Toronto with Hannah, and a few days either side with our friend Carolyn, in Yorba Linda, Southern California. Sue has never been to Toronto before, and it’s been around 4 decades since Len was there, so we will definitely be doing some sightseeing in Toronto and environs. While Hannah is at work we’ll focus on urban sightseeing and when she’s not we will explore a little further afield, including to Niagara Falls which only Len (of us) has seen. We also plan to catch up with some other people while in these two places. It will be a busy three weeks or so.

As with our first travel blog, we plan (hope) to write a post everyday to keep in touch with family. We won’t be offended if that’s too much for most of you. We promise not to test you on our return!
You are welcome to check our very basic itinerary (see the Menu Bar). If you have have any suggestions, do leave us a message via our Contact Page (also on the Menu Bar). If, on the other hand, you have complaints, we don’t mind if you keep them to yourselves!
Finally, we’d love you to comment, whenever you feel like it. You can do that using the Comment box at the bottom of each post. Note that our comment moderation means that the first time you comment, it won’t appear immediately, but once we’ve approved it your future comments should display as soon as you submit them. We’ll try to reply every now and then … particularly if you ask us a question … but if we don’t, it will be because we are out there having fun, or we’re exhausted and asleep!
I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read on a train. (Oscar Wilde)
Unfortunately, our blog will not be written by Oscar Wilde, but it never hurts to aim high.
I am totally reading this from my office on/just off Bloor St right now. One of those building might be mine… but I can’t quite tell.
How funny … it seemed the prettiest one offered by Zemanta when the Wherry Hotel one (not in Toronto) disappeared from the options.
You made me smile and laugh. I hope we do get to see you. Mostly, I just hope you have a wonderful trip with only joyous adventures!
I hope we get to see you too Trudy … from our end I can’t see why not, but if things don’t work out at your end we’d totally understand of course. Will be in touch … and you can watch us via the blog!
Happy travels and safe journeying
Thanks Sylvia … will see you on our return.
Bon voyage and happy reunion.
Thanks Mum … take care while we are away, and we’ll be back before you know it.
